HUMANITARIAN AID & VOLUNTEERING

I recently traveled to Guatemala to help in an Earthship build for a very nice lady named Maria and her kids who live in extreme poverty conditions. I gotta say that people in Comalapa - where we built the home- were extremely nice and caring. The idea was to provide her with a home at the same time that locals learned how to build a SUSTAINABLE HOME. It was a great experience were we all teamed up, it came so natural to all of us to work as a community for the community with a goal in common.

This home will set Maria and her kids free from having to worry about paying bills and have some pennies left -or should I say Quetzals- in her pocket to buy some basic pantry items. And now locals know how to build a home out of discarded materials such as tires, plastic and glass bottles; harvest water from the rain, reuse gray waters, grow their own food, and use solar energy.
